Aurora Area Interfaith Food Pantry believes everyone should have access to nutritious food when they need it. We know the barriers to food security are different for every household. Our programs work together to remove barriers and make food easier to access. Receiving food is intentionally simple—the only requirement is showing up at the Pantry.
How We Make Food for All Possible
Choice

At the center of our food distribution program is our client-choice market. Neighbors shop for themselves and select foods that meet their families’ needs, preferences, and dietary requirements. Fresh produce, meat and dairy are available alongside shelf-stable staples.
Delivery & Drive-Up
Distributions
Not everyone can come to the Pantry between Monday and Friday, or at all. Deliveries and Saturday Drive-Up distribution bring food to neighbors who face barriers such as limited mobility, illness/recovery, transportation, work schedules, or other daily responsibilities.
Jefferson
Micro Pantry
Sometimes the best way to remove a barrier is to bring food directly into the community. Our Micro Pantry at Jefferson Middle School gives students convenient access to food they can take home for themselves and their families, including fresh and shelf-stable options.
Mobile Meals
Program
Our Mobile Meals program is an extension of our mission to fight hunger and strengthen community. Through this program, our food truck provides freshly prepared, hot meals to neighborhoods in Aurora with limited access to stable housing or a fully equipped kitchen.
Food Recovery: Keeping Good Food Moving

Essential
Garden
The Essential Garden grows fresh produce for Aurora Food Pantry shoppers while offering volunteers of all ages a hands-on way to serve. Gardeners help plant, tend and harvest nutritious food, build skills and experience the satisfaction of growing food for neighbors.

More Than 40 Years of
FOOD FOR ALL
Aurora Area Interfaith Food Pantry was founded in 1981 during an economic downturn that brought growing numbers of families to local churches seeking food assistance. Recognizing that no single congregation could meet the growing need alone, local churches, community leaders, and residents came together to create the Aurora Area Interfaith Food Pantry.
Decades later, that same spirit of community collaboration continues.
From our distribution choices to food recovery, community-based programs, and partnerships throughout the region, we continue adapting how we serve while remaining grounded in the same purpose.
